General Project Description

The City of Long Beach is re-questing proposals from qualified firms to provide Comprehensive Construction Management and Inspection Services (CMIS) for the Shoreline Drive Realignment Project. This transformative infrastructure initiative aims to reconnect Downtown Long Beach, improve multimodal transportation, realign Shoreline Drive, remove outdated infrastructure barriers, and construct new pedestrian and bicycle routes. The $60 million construction project is anticipated to begin in early 2026 and last for two years, followed by a six-month closeout. The CMIS firm will be responsible for overseeing all phases including bid/award support, contractor coordination, quality assurance, labor compliance monitoring, public engagement, and problem resolution, ensuring safe, on-schedule, and within-budget delivery in compliance with regulations.
