General Project Description
This project involves the removal of one existing municipal potable water supply well (Well Annex 26) and its associated facilities. The scope includes selective site demolition, removal of above and below ground piping, valves, fittings, tanks, electrical equipment, and vaults. The work also entails isolation of the collection main, complete destruction of the well, backfill and compaction of excavated areas, and site restoration. Specific items include disposing of fill and debris from the well sump, abandoning a 3,000-gallon underground pressure tank, removing electrical components, and installing blind flanges or pressure caps as necessary. Optional tasks include permit and inspection reimbursement, an allowance for field directives, excavation and replacement of contaminated soil, and standby time.
