General Project Description

This project involves constructing improvements on local streets, service roads, and alleys within the City of Long Beach. The general scope of work includes cold milling and constructing asphalt concrete (AC) and/or Portland cement concrete (PCC) pavement, curbs, gutters, ADA access ramps, and sidewalks. It also encompasses crushed miscellaneous base work, excavation, grading, surveying, tree removals, tree pruning, root shaving, and furnishing/placing earth fill. Utility adjustments include water valve boxes, meter boxes, gas valve boxes, pull boxes, and traffic signal pull boxes. Traffic-related work involves modifying/constructing street lighting and traffic signal systems, pavement striping, curb and pavement markings, and traffic signs. The contract is an on-call agreement to select contractors for roadway rehabilitation projects.
