General Project Description

This project involves construction services for upgrading the main electrical distribution system at Los Angeles Trade-Technical College. The scope includes extending new conduit duct banks and manholes across South Grand Avenue, terminating them at the existing South Campus Utility Building, constructing two new outdoor switchyards for new switchgear with improved landscaping, and providing improved underground infrastructure to existing electrical and communication manholes. It also requires the removal and replacement of existing concrete walkways and fire lanes as necessary. The procurement is a two-step process: (1) project-specific pre-qualification (RFQ) followed by (2) an Invitation for Bid (IFB) for a Lump Sum/Low Bid Construction Services Agreement.
