Unofficial Notice of Invitation to Bid (NIB)

Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) is seeking bids from qualified and interested contractors for the following project titled, Gardena High School Stadium Upgrades with Natural Turf Field & Synthetic Track (BV)(PSA), identified under Solicitation ID: 2610030. Work is to be performed near 1301 W 182nd St, Gardena, CA 90248, USA in Los Angeles County.

General Project Description

This project involves comprehensive upgrades to the football stadium and track at Gardena High School. The scope includes the removal of the existing ticket booth and decomposed granite track, followed by the installation of a new synthetic all-weather track and new natural grass football/soccer field complete with irrigation and drainage systems. New field event facilities for long jump, triple jump, high jump, and improvements to the shot-put area will be constructed. The project also entails the supply and installation of new stadium bleachers (approximately 3,600 seats for the home side and 1,900 seats for the visitor side), a new press box, sound system, scoreboard, football field goal posts, fencing, and gates. Site improvements encompass exterior painting and interior finishing for existing restrooms/concessions buildings, landscaping, hardscaping, and general infrastructure upgrades. Crucially, ADA accessibility modifications are required, including concrete paving replacements and restroom modifications at the Main Gym and Practice Gym, to ensure compliance with ADA, DSA, DTSC, and other local, state, and federal requirements. Temporary staff parking must be established within 45 days of the Notice to Proceed and restored to its original function before substantial completion.
