General Project Description

This project involves the construction of a stormwater capture system at Strathern Park North. The comprehensive scope includes site preparation, demolition of existing features (trees, walkways, curbs, irrigation, etc.), extensive earthwork (excavation, shoring, soil management, compaction), and installation of underground infrastructure like storm drains, pretreatment systems, yard piping, slide gates, and infiltration galleries. The project also entails significant site development, including landscaping, installation of various lighting systems (sport, path, security), electrical services, and instrumentation (flow meters, sensors, alarms, PLC cabinets). Additionally, it encompasses the provision and installation of site furnishings (bollards, benches, hydration stations, fitness equipment), construction of a maintenance access road (concrete, pavers, driveways), and the development of recreational facilities such as baseball and soccer fields with appurtenances (fencing, dugouts, bleachers), and a permeable pavement parking lot including striping and signage. A Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) is a required component of the work. Allowances are included for engineer's/inspector's field office supplies, differing site conditions, permits, opportunity to partner, startup assistance, distributed control system integration, and community impact mitigation.
