General Project Description

This project, part of the Sidewalk Repair Program – Package No. 80, involves the construction, remediation, and reconstruction of pedestrian facilities at various Access Request Sites throughout the City of Los Angeles. The scope includes overall project management, labor, materials, tools, and equipment for a wide range of public works improvements. Key activities encompass the removal and replacement of existing sidewalks, curbs, curb and gutters, driveways, and asphalt pavements. It also involves the installation of ADA compliant curb ramps, tree-related work such as root pruning/shaving, canopy pruning, and tree/stump removal, as well as furnishing and planting new trees. Utility adjustments are required for maintenance holes, pullboxes, vaults, water/gas meters, and traffic signal pullboxes to grade. Concrete construction includes retaining curbs, cross gutters, intersection gutters, and various types of concrete pavements (including patterned/decorative brick). Other tasks include modifying existing irrigation lines, remodeling catch basin lids, installing traffic loop detectors, relocating fences, and restriping stop bars. Environmental mitigation measures, historic preservation, and adherence to waste management plans (including diversion and recycling goals) are integral to the project.
