General Project Description
This Request for Quotes (RFQ) is for single-family residential construction rehabilitation services under the Senior Grant Program. The purpose is to perform home accessibility modifications and deferred maintenance to improve mobility, functionality, and health and safety for eligible senior citizens. Work includes modifications such as wheelchair ramps, grab bars, widened doorways, non-slip floor covering, or conversions to roll-in showers. It also covers deferred maintenance repairs like roofing, plumbing, and electrical. A significant component involves lead-based paint (LBP) abatement, including stabilization, cleanup, encapsulation, and potential removal and replacement of LBP-coated building components, and asbestos sampling (found to be negative) with associated remediation if required. All work must comply with EPA, CDPH, HUD, OSHA, and SCAQMD standards for lead and asbestos.
