Madera City is seeking bids from qualified and interested contractors for the following project titled, Domestic Well Installation Services, identified under Solicitation ID: -. Work is to be performed near 205 W 4th St, Madera, CA 93637, USA in Madera County.

General Project Description

This Request for Qualifications (RFQ) seeks to establish a list of qualified local contractors to provide as-needed domestic well drilling and installation services. This is part of the Madera Subbasin Domestic Well Mitigation Program, a cooperative effort by Groundwater Sustainability Agencies (GSAs) to mitigate impacts from declining groundwater levels. Contractors will provide services for new domestic well installations for qualified well owners, with funding provided by the Madera Irrigation District GSA. The scope includes well design, permitting, drilling, well casing and gravel envelope installation, annular seals, well development, concrete pad installation, site cleanup, and submission of required reports to regulatory agencies, adhering to California Department of Water Resources Well Standards.

General Bid Items

  • Quantity: -  Unit: -  Work Item: Preparation of final well design. Specifications: Either 6-inch diameter PVC or steel blank casing and screen.

  • Quantity: -  Unit: -  Work Item: Installation of a sand/cement grout annular seal. Specifications: Via tremie pipe, seal depth must comply with all State and local requirements.
  • Quantity: -  Unit: -  Work Item: Development of the well via airlifting and pumping. Specifications: Until the water produced is clear (5 NTU or less) and sand free.
  • Quantity: -  Unit: -  Work Item: Installing a concrete pad at the surface around the well casing.
