General Project Description

The County of Mariposa invites qualified firms to submit qualifications for on-call planning services to support its Planning Department over a three-year period. The program aims to enhance customer service, reduce project review timelines, and provide focused professional attention for technically complex or time-sensitive applications. The selected consultant will act as an extension of County staff, offering services such as reviewing planning applications (discretionary, ministerial, site plans, design review, environmental documents, zoning, subdivision), preparing staff reports, conditions of approval, correspondence, public hearing presentations, and coordinating with County staff and applicants to resolve deficiencies. Specific tasks may include reviewing geotechnical studies, conceptual site plans, grading and drainage plans, utility plans, stormwater treatment plans, tentative maps, easements, dedications, and vacations, all in compliance with County and state regulations.
