General Project Description
The City of Marysville is soliciting qualifications from consultants for urban design, circulation planning, and engineering services for the Reconnecting Communities and Neighborhoods (RCN) Grant. The project aims to increase mobility in the City's Downtown Specific Plan Area by addressing transportation obstacles created by State Routes 20 and 70. This involves developing and implementing a traffic calming program, design changes, changes in routing and traffic management, landscaping and streetscape improvements, parking recommendations, adaptive signal systems, and bicycle lane installations. Additionally, the scope includes feasibility studies for establishing a Train Quiet Zone and the preliminary design of a pedestrian tunnel at 14th Street, alongside extensive community engagement and grant administration.
