General Project Description

The McSwain Union Elementary School District (McSWAIN) is requesting proposals for E-Rate Year 2026 data communications services. The project aims to establish or renew various eligible services, including Leased Lit Fiber (Point-to-Point and Ring Topology) and Leased Dark Fiber (Point-to-Point and Ring Topology) to interconnect the District's sites. The services will connect the McSwain Union Elementary SD (HUB) to a Wired Data Center and the Merced COE Complex, requiring specific bandwidths (1 Gbps or 10 Gbps for lit fiber) or strand counts (2-strand or 4-strand single mode for dark fiber), Quality of Service (QoS) guarantees, IPv6 support, and ongoing maintenance.
