General Project Description
The City of Menlo Park is seeking qualified contractors to submit proposals for on-call water and stormwater repair system services. The scope of work includes both planned (non-emergency) activities scheduled in advance and emergency, around-the-clock responses to unplanned events that affect public health, safety, and property damage. All work must comply with State Water Resources Control Board regulations, American Water Works Association (AWWA) Standards, San Mateo County Environmental Health requirements, and City of Menlo Park standards. Specific tasks involve repairing water/stormwater main breaks and strikes, water/stormwater connection leaks, fire hydrant strikes, and broken water main valves. The contractor is responsible for providing all traffic controls, equipment, and materials for these repair services, which are expected to be on a Time & Materials (T&M) basis.
