San Diego Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) is seeking bids from qualified and interested contractors for the following project titled, PRESSURE WASHING SERVICES - IAD, identified under Solicitation ID: 10153363. Work is to be performed near 1255 Imperial Ave suite 100a, San Diego, CA 92101, USA in San Diego County.
General Project Description
The San Diego Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) is soliciting low-pressure washing services (up to 5000 psi) at its Imperial Avenue Division (IAD) facilities and the adjacent 16th Street public right-of-way. The services include general cleaning, removal of various contaminants like dirt, grease, stains, and human waste, along with mandatory wastewater recovery and legal disposal. Work must comply with all applicable water quality laws and storm water pollution prevention best management practices. The project will operate under a three-year contract term.

- Quantity: 1 Unit: QUARTER Work Item: Pressure Washing Services for IAD – Shop North Concrete Pad. Area: Approximately 6,319 sq. ft. Specifications: Low pressure wash (up to 5000 psi), wastewater recovery and disposal, performed between 7:00 AM – 1:00 PM.
- Quantity: 1 Unit: QUARTER Work Item: Pressure Washing Services for IAD – Shop South Concrete Pad. Area: Approximately 8,145 sq. ft. Specifications: Low pressure wash (up to 5000 psi), wastewater recovery and disposal, performed between 7:00 AM – 1:00 PM.
- Quantity: 1 Unit: EVERY OTHER MONTH Work Item: Pressure Washing Services for IAD - Bus Wash Exit Concrete Pad. Area: Approximately 3,600 sq. ft. Specifications: Low pressure wash (up to 5000 psi), wastewater recovery and disposal, performed between 7:00 AM – 1:00 PM.
- Quantity: 1 Unit: EVERY TWO WEEKS Work Item: Pressure Washing Services for IAD - Public Right of Way (sidewalk) on 16th street. Area: Approximately 10,800 sq. ft. Specifications: Low pressure wash (up to 5000 psi), including removal of all stains (urine, human waste), coordination with local law enforcement, wastewater recovery and disposal, performed between 5:00 PM – 5:00 AM.
- Quantity: As-Needed Unit: LS Work Item: Additional pressure washing services at MTS discretion.
- Quantity: 1 Unit: LS Work Item: Containment and protection of drains/electrical equipment. Specifications: Storm drain inlet protection per MTS Maintenance BMP fact sheet SDM-3.
- Quantity: 1 Unit: LS Work Item: Wastewater Recovery and Disposal. Specifications: Legal disposal of all wastewaters in compliance with The Clean Water Act, The Waste Water Act, and City of San Diego Ordinances.
