Modesto City is seeking bids from qualified and interested contractors for the following project titled, Water Storage Tank Inspection, Cleaning and Repair Services, identified under Solicitation ID: IFB-00070. Work is to be performed near 1010 10th St, Modesto, CA 95354, USA in Stanislaus County.
General Project Description
The City of Modesto, Utilities Department, Water Division, is soliciting bids from qualified contractors for "as needed basis" water storage tank inspection, cleaning, and repair services for twelve (12) existing above-ground non-elevated potable water storage tanks. The scope of work includes initial visual inspections of tank interiors and exteriors, sediment removal from tank interiors using diver-controlled vacuum heads and underwater videotape equipment, detailed internal/external inspection and reporting on DVD-CD, and additional services such as touch-up and corrosive repair work including underwater welding and NSF-approved epoxy repairs. All work must comply with AWWA, ANSI, Caltrans, and CAL-OSHA standards for safety and confined space operations, and prevailing wages are required. The contractor is responsible for providing all labor, materials, equipment, fuel, tools, licenses, and insurance necessary for the services.
