General Project Description

This project involves the construction of improvements at Chet Holifield Park Community Gardens within the City of Montebello, California. The scope of work encompasses furnishing all necessary materials, equipment, tools, labor, and incidentals to construct the project and its appurtenances in accordance with the latest Standard Plans for Public Works Construction (SPPWC), Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction “Greenbook,” and 2024 Caltrans Standard Plans and Specifications. Key work items include site demolition (pavement, concrete, landscape, trees, BBQ equipment), new concrete construction (curb and gutter, sidewalks, V-gutters, curb ramps, planter curbs), earthwork (crushed aggregate base, asphalt concrete overlay, decomposed granite, topsoil), installation of chain-link fence systems and gates, new hose bibbs and precast concrete wheel stops, planter boxes, traffic striping and markings including accessible parking stalls, new signs and posts, public improvement project signs, construction surveying, and material testing services. The project is subject to Project Labor Agreement No. 4202.
