General Project Description

This project involves providing concrete coring and sampling services for the Department of Water Resources (DWR) at existing structures within the State Water Project (SWP) throughout California. The contractor will cut and extract concrete cores for DWR testing and analysis, contributing to the continuous preventative maintenance of SWP structures. Core samples are typically less than 4-inches in diameter but require the capacity to obtain samples up to 12-inches. The contractor must also provide ground penetrating radar (GPR) scanning services to identify and avoid embedded obstructions like reinforcing steel, conduit, and tensioning strands. The anticipated term of the agreement is 3 years.
