General Project Description

This project involves physical security upgrades at the San Joaquin Field Division O&M Center, Chrisman Pumping Plant, and Edmonston Pumping Plant, all part of the State Water Facilities within the California Aqueduct system in Kern County. The scope includes a variety of site work, security infrastructure, and facility improvements. This encompasses installing new fencing, impact-rated gates, standard bollards, security camera poles, and reinforced concrete equipment pads. It also includes the construction of a prefabricated guard shack with integrated office and restroom facilities, complete with HVAC, lighting, power, data, communication, water, and sewer systems. Additional civil work involves trenching for electrical conduits and gas lines, demolition of existing facilities, earthwork, concrete liner installation, concreted rock slope protection, aggregate base, hot mix asphalt pavement, concrete curb installation, metal beam guardrail replacement, chain link fence replacement, traffic striping, signage, security hardening of doors and windows, and Type K railings.
