General Project Description

The Department of Water Resources (DWR) requires maintenance services, programming, and installation of interactive exhibits at three DWR Visitor Centers for an anticipated term of 3 years. The contractor will work closely with the DWR Contract Manager on repairs, upgrades, and new products. Responsibilities include testing electronic functionalities, inspecting wiring, reporting on necessary repairs, and advising on potential issues for electronic repairs. The contractor must also design and fabricate interactive museum-quality displays, including various elements like push-button and touchscreen interactives, audio, exhibit lighting, audiovisual elements, embedded LED lighting, projectors, and timing interactions. This includes identifying industry standard elements, designing schematics, submitting designs for approval, constructing and programming interactive exhibit portions based on structural drawings, and delivering/installing on-site interactive elements. Additionally, the contractor will recommend new exhibit components such as touchscreens, monitors, projection equipment, and spherical interactive touch displays.
