Nevada County is seeking bids from qualified and interested contractors for the following project titled, REGISTERED PROFESSIONAL FORESTER SERVICES, identified under Solicitation ID: 207149. Work is to be performed near 950 Maidu Ave, Nevada City, CA 95959, USA in Nevada County.

General Project Description

The County of Nevada Office of Emergency Services (OES) is soliciting Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from Registered Professional Foresters (RPF) or firms with RPFs to provide treatment design and oversight for hazardous vegetation abatement projects. This includes updating an existing Qualified List of RPFs for services such as developing treatment designs for diverse landowners, identifying best practices and mitigation measures, ensuring alignment with funder stipulations (CEQA/NEPA regulations), and implementing wildfire mitigation projects. Specific work involveshazardous fuels reduction, roadside vegetation abatement, defensible space activities, GIS tracking of vegetation and infrastructure, property owner coordination, environmental consulting services for CEQA/NEPA clearance, and project management during implementation.
