Unofficial Notice of Invitation to Bid (NIB)
Newark City is seeking bids from qualified and interested contractors for the following project titled, Service Center Fueling Facility, identified under Solicitation ID: 1310, 1330, 1334, and 1335. Work is to be performed near 37101 Newark Blvd, Newark, CA 94560, USA in Alameda County.
General Project Description
The project involves a turnkey installation of a municipal fueling facility at the Newark Service Center. The scope includes site preparation and grading; furnishing and installation of one 2,000-gallon UL2085-compliant above-ground diesel storage tank and one 4,000-gallon UL2085-compliant above-ground unleaded gasoline storage tank; integrated fuel dispensing systems; a shared electronic, cloud-based fuel management/tracking system; reinforced concrete tank and vehicle pads with safety bollards; construction of an approximately 11,500 sq ft all-weather access road (3” HMA over 8” Class 2 aggregate base with geotextile fabric); and installation of one ACWD approved fire hydrant with associated fire line extension and protective bollards. Additive alternate bid items include an overhead canopy with LED lighting and solar panel accommodation, and new electrical service if the existing line is insufficient. All work includes electrical installations, system connections, site lighting, canopy, utility provisions, commissioning, testing, startup, submittals, and staff training.
