Newark City is seeking bids from qualified and interested contractors for the following project titled, 2026 Silliman Aquatic Center – Lazy River Replastering, identified under Solicitation ID: -. Work is to be performed near 6800 Mowry Ave, Newark, CA 94560, USA in Alameda County.

General Project Description

The project involves the replastering of the lazy river pool at the 2026 Silliman Aquatic Center. The scope of work includes the removal and demolition of existing lazy river pool finishes, construction of new lazy river finishes (including plaster and tile), and the installation of new mechanical equipment, UV systems, valves, and gauges to ensure the aquatic facility is fully operational. Additional work entails replacing damaged skimmer access lids and main drains, cleaning and restoring handrails, replacing covers and eyeball wall inlets, anchoring an existing PAL lift to the deck, furnishing and installing tile at stairs and drain covers, furnishing and installing a new accessible lift, and installing new rope anchors and waterline tile. The contractor is also required to comply with California Green Building Code construction and demolition waste collection and recycling, with targets of at least 65% of all materials and 90% of concrete and asphalt.
