General Project Description

The City of Newport Beach is seeking proposals from qualified engineering consultants to provide Citywide Pedestrian Bridge Inspection Services. The project involves comprehensive inspections of approximately 13 City-owned pedestrian bridges in accordance with National Bridge Inspection Standards (NBIS) and the Caltrans Bridge Element Inspection Manual. The scope includes visual inspections, non-destructive testing and evaluation, structural analysis, geotechnical and foundation evaluation, detailed reporting, and the development of a prioritization chart with estimated costs for future repair recommendations.
