General Project Description

The Oakland Unified School District is requesting proposals from experienced firms to provide geotechnical and geohazard consulting services for the sports field lighting replacement project at Skyline High School. The project involves demolishing and replacing existing light poles with taller, higher elevation poles, designing new poles to accommodate additional equipment (security cameras, PA, broadcasting cameras), adding lighting to poorly lit track field corners, minimizing light spill, incorporating RGB lights with dimming capabilities, and a "dancing showcase" lighting feature. The consulting services will support the installation of four new field lights and include geotechnical field studies, foundation design recommendations, geohazard reporting, underground utility locating, field exploration (borings, CPTs), and construction oversight.
