General Project Description

The Oakland Unified School District is requesting qualifications and proposals from experienced consultants to provide California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) consulting services for a field lighting replacement project at Skyline High School. The project's purpose is to replace existing field lighting and install new, advanced lighting for the track, field corners, parking lot, and path-of-travel to meet DSA and CBC code requirements, including RGB lights with dimming and a "dancing showcase" feature. The consultant's scope includes performing preliminary CEQA analysis, preparing a Negative Declaration or Mitigated Negative Declaration, and assisting with filing the Notice of Determination. The consultant must ensure professional quality and technical accuracy of all reports, disclose relevant information impacting project costs, advise on information gathering methods, track project information, and provide mandatory assistance in any related disputes or litigation. The lighting system components are expected to be supplied by Musco Sports Lighting, LLC for installation by a separate General Contractor.
