Unofficial Notice of Invitation to Bid (NIB)

Oceanside Unified School District is seeking bids from qualified and interested contractors for the following project titled, South Oceanside ES Roofing Project, identified under Solicitation ID: 2025-01-030B. Work is to be performed near 1806 S Horne St, Oceanside, CA 92054, USA in San Diego County.

General Project Description

This project involves the furnishing of all required labor, equipment, and miscellaneous materials for the installation of District-purchased and furnished roofing materials over a properly prepared substrate at South Oceanside Elementary School. The work is specifically for roof replacement on the Admin., MPR, B, C, D, E, G, and H wings and includes demolition of existing roof systems, deck and soffit repairs, installation of modified bituminous membrane roofing (utilizing specified base and cap sheets such as HPR Glasbase, Stressbase 80 Plus, and Stressply FR Mineral), flashings, sheet metal work, drain repairs, and application of surface coatings. The work adheres to California State Contractor’s license Class B and/or C-39 requirements.

Run roof system plies over drain, cut out plies inside drain bowl. Set lead/copper flashing (30 inch square minimum) in 1/4 inch bed of mastic, run into drain minimum 2 inches (50 mm). Prime lead/copper at 100 sq ft per gallon. Install base flashing ply (40 inch square minimum) and modified membrane (48 inch square minimum) in bitumen. Install clamping ring to assure all plies are under it. Remove drain plug and install strainer.

Prime flange of new sleeve. Install properly sized sleeves set in 1/4 inch (6 mm) bed of roof cement. Install base flashing ply and modified membrane in bitumen. Caulk intersection of membrane with elastomeric sealant. Turn sleeve minimum 1 inch (25 mm) down inside of stack.

Caulk intersection of membrane with elastomeric sealant. Install new collar over cape. Weld collar or install stainless steel draw brand.
