General Project Description

This project involves the comprehensive replacement of the fire sprinkler system branch lines at the Nadine Griff Mack Nutrition Center warehouse. The scope includes the demolition and removal of existing Schedule 7 exposed fire sprinkler branch lines and the installation of new Schedule 10 black steel piping and 8.0K factor fire sprinkler heads in various warehouse areas, including above the freezer and in-rack systems. Key tasks involve installing approximately 1,000 linear feet of 2" piping and 200 linear feet of 2-1/2" piping, along with fittings. The project also requires tying into existing riser nipples and replacing a section of the 6" main line. All work must adhere to current codes, NFPA 13, and local Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) requirements, with emphasis on site protection and providing a coordinated work schedule.
