General Project Description
The City of Orange Cove is soliciting proposals from qualified consulting firms to update its existing General Plan, adopted in 2003, and prepare an Environmental Impact Report (EIR) in compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). The project entails a comprehensive update incorporating current state laws, best planning practices, land use opportunities, and addressing local and regional planning issues to establish a long-term policy framework for future development. The scope includes conducting an existing conditions analysis, implementing a public engagement program, drafting and finalizing the General Plan update, preparing all CEQA-required EIR documentation, and attending City Council and Planning Commission meetings.
