General Project Description
The City of Orinda is seeking professional design services for a series of Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) projects. The consultant will refine countermeasures, develop design plans, and prepare Plans, Specifications, and Estimates (PS&E) for three construction projects focused on stop-controlled intersection safety, roadway departure/delineation, and pedestrian/bicyclist crossing safety. Additionally, the consultant will conduct a citywide field inventory and assessment of existing traffic signs and pavement markings, generating a technical report and GIS dataset. The scope includes project management, data review, field investigations, preliminary engineering, design development (signing, striping, traffic control, electrical, civil), ADA evaluations and upgrades, prioritization/phasing, and Caltrans submission support.
