General Project Description

The City of Orinda is seeking a professional consultant team to update its 2011 Bicycle, Trails & Walkways Master Plan. The project involves reviewing and integrating existing projects, performing new analyses of bicycle and pedestrian safety and needs, and developing a comprehensive document. The update will prioritize multi-modal commuter safety, particularly in school zones, and guide the long-term development of bicycle and pedestrian facilities. Key tasks include project management, data collection and review of existing conditions (including ADA issues and e-bike/scooter integration), public outreach, goals and policy development, and the formulation of recommendations for network enhancements and an implementation strategy, including Safe Routes to School programs.
