General Project Description

The City of Pacifica is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide professional design and engineering services for the Pacifica Municipal Pier Rehabilitation Project. The project's primary objective is to restore the pier in kind by repairing or replacing damaged concrete components, improving corrosion resistance, and ensuring long-term serviceability. The selected consultant will prepare complete plans, specifications, and estimates (PS&E) for the repair and rehabilitation of the existing reinforced concrete pier structure, considering structural damage from wave exposure and storm events, and ensuring compliance with federal and state requirements, including Build America, Buy America (BABA) requirements. The scope also includes environmental studies, regulatory permitting support, and bid/construction phase support.
