Palm Springs City is seeking bids from qualified and interested contractors for the following project titled, Victoria Park Restroom Replacement, identified under Solicitation ID: IFB NO. 25-16. Work is to be performed near 2744 N Vía Miraleste, Palm Springs, CA 92262, USA in Riverside County.

General Project Description

The project involves a full renovation and replacement of the existing restroom facility at Victoria Park with a new, fully functional structure. The scope includes encompassing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, structural, and general construction trades. Key activities include demolition of the existing restroom, connection to existing utilities, associated landscaping and hardscaping improvements, commissioning, and a maintenance period. Demolition of the existing restroom facility shall not begin until the new facility is constructed, all new utilities are connected and tested, and the new facility has been formally approved by the City for public use. The contractor is responsible for construction management, securing necessary permits (fees paid by the City), coordinating inspections, and complying with all applicable codes, standards, and prevailing wage laws.

Quantity: 1 Unit: LS Work Item: DIVISION 01 – General Requirements. Includes: Mobilization, Traffic Control, Safety, Permits, Project Coordination, Signage (Measure J and Public Notification), and Final Closeout. (Estimate 15% of total bid).
Quantity: 1 Unit: LS Work Item: DIVISION 02 – Existing Conditions & Demolition. Includes: Disconnect and cap all utilities (Water, Sewer, Electrical), Asbestos abatement from existing restroom roof, removal of existing restroom structure, (1) drinking fountain, and (1) pet waste station. Demolition occurs only after new facility completion. Clearing and grubbing necessary for new construction. Protection of Existing Improvements. (Estimate 10% of total bid).
Quantity: 1 Unit: LS Work Item: DIVISION 31/03 – Earthwork & Concrete Foundations. Includes: Clearing/Grubbing, Excavation, 6" Placement/Compaction of fill, 4" Layer of Imported gravel/DG, 10 mil Visqueen vapor barrier, 4" concrete slab (with #3 rebar at 18" O.C.), concrete footing, and protect-in-place existing concrete and 7 trees. (Estimate 15% of total bid).
Quantity: 1 Unit: LS Work Item: DIVISION 08/09/10 – Finishes & Specialties. Includes: All Hollow metal doors/frames, Door hardware, 12"x24" Porcelain tile (field/accent), Painting of doors/steel to match "The Blues" by Dunn Edwards, 42" and 36" Bobrick grab bars, and double-roll toilet tissue dispensers. (Estimate 20% of total bid).
Quantity: 1 Unit: LS Work Item: DIVISION 22/33 – Plumbing & Utility Connections. Includes: Water/Sewer connection to mains, 1 Elkay drinking fountain/pet station, 1 Backwater valve (BV−200), 1 Hose bibb, 3 Acorn-Meridian Lavatories, 24.5 LF Trench drain, 5 Catch basins, 2 Trap primers, 5 Water Closets (Acorn Penal-Ware), 5 Yard cleanouts, 1 Water hammer arrestor, 3 Shut-off valves, and all specified piping and hangers. (Estimate 10% of total bid).
Quantity: 1 Unit: LS Work Item: DIVISION 26 – Electrical Systems. Includes: All interior/exterior lighting (Cooper Lighting Solutions), 500 LF Power Supply Duct Bank, Panel board, Disconnect Switch, Time clock, 5 Occupancy sensors, 2 Duplex GFI Receptacles, 110 LF Unswitched hot circuit, and all controls and connections. (Estimate 10% of total bid).
Quantity: 1 Unit: LS Work Item: DIVISION 32 – Exterior Improvements & Restoration. Includes: Full Site Restoration, all Landscape and Irrigation Restoration per City drought-tolerant guidelines. (Estimate 10% of total bid).
