General Project Description

This project involves conducting environmental boring and drilling at the Palm Springs International Airport to install five groundwater monitoring wells and advance six soil borings at various locations. The purpose is to facilitate the collection of soil and groundwater samples for PFAS analysis, with all sampling activities performed by a third-party firm. Key work items include utility clearance using an air knife, providing temporary construction items and traffic barriers, sonic core drilling, monitoring well installation with specific PVC and casing requirements, well development, handling PFAS-free water, managing drums for cuttings/IDW, and providing forklift/skid steer rental. The project also requires equipment decontamination and the establishment of a bermed and lined drum staging area.
