General Project Description

The Palmdale Water District (PWD) is seeking qualified licensed contractors for as-needed well rehabilitation services for its production wells, specifically Well 2 and Well 3, over a 6-month period. The project aims to restore wells to optimal efficiency, encompassing mobilization, demobilization, site cleanup, removal and assessment of permanent pumping equipment, downhole video and Casing Inspection Thickness Measurement (CITM) surveys, sediment and oil removal, mechanical and chemical cleaning of well screens, initial and final well development through pumping and surging, aquifer pumping tests, well disinfection, and the repair/reinstallation of permanent pumping equipment. The contractor is responsible for providing all necessary labor, equipment, materials, supplies, and transportation, adhering to California Water Well Standards, AWWA standards, and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
