General Project Description

The Project PN 722, "AVE. R ITS TRAFFIC SIGNAL SYNC PROJECT", involves the installation and synchronization of intelligent transportation systems (ITS). The scope primarily includes construction related to installing a fiber optic system, a Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) system at Avenue R and 60th Street East, and a new traffic signal at Avenue R and 70th Street East. Key work items encompass earthwork (clearing, grubbing, excavation, backfill), asphalt and concrete paving, sidewalk construction, installation of various conduits (PVC) and fiber optic cables, ethernet cables, pull boxes, splice enclosures, new ethernet switches, CCTV camera system, and communication system testing. The Contractor is responsible for traffic control, mobilization, and providing required anchor bolts, nuts, washers, and plates for signal installation, while the Agency provides the signals, signal controller cabinet, and service pedestal.
