General Project Description

This project involves the removal and replacement of existing wrought iron fencing and the installation of new concrete mow curbing at various locations within the City of Palmdale. The scope includes installing new wrought iron fencing of varying heights (6-foot, 4-foot, 2-foot, and 5-foot), complete with posts, footings, and double access gates. All new wrought iron materials must be powder-coated black, with on-site painting required for bare metal areas due to welding or installation damage. The contractor is responsible for pre-construction coordination, project scheduling, underground utility verification via DIG ALERT, securing a "No Fee" encroachment permit from the City's Engineering Department, ensuring site safety with temporary fencing, caution tape, and barricades, and proper disposal of all debris. Work also includes excavation for new footings and concrete mow curbing per engineering specifications. Fence posts attached to existing walls must be set in slump stone block cells, secured with concrete, and wall caps cored/cut as needed, without using anchors/redheads.
