General Project Description

The City of Palmdale is seeking bids from qualified contractors for turf removal and replacement services at the Marie Kerr Park south soccer field. The project involves removing approximately 117,500 square feet of existing turf, followed by the incorporation of soil conditioners, laser leveling the field, and installing new big roll sod. The scope includes the hauling of approximately 420 cubic yards of spoils off-site and the transfer and spreading of approximately 220 cubic yards of City-provided sand on-site. The contractor must develop a detailed logistics and material handling plan, implement traffic control, protect park infrastructure and trees, and coordinate irrigation cycles and sod installation. Dust control measures, in accordance with AVAQMD Rule 403 (Fugitive Dust), are required throughout the work. The City will provide the sand, soil conditioners, and big roll sod.
