General Project Description

The Paradise Irrigation District (District) is soliciting proposals from qualified consultants to update its 2020 Urban Water Management Plan (UWMP). This update is crucial for meeting State requirements outlined in the California Water Code (Section 10610 et seq.) and the Department of Water Resources (DWR) 2025 Urban Water Management Plan Guidebook for Water Suppliers. The UWMP will assess the adequacy and reliability of water supplies for existing and future customers, enabling the District to pursue grant funding and drought assistance. The consultant's responsibilities include preparing and delivering a complete, compliant 2025 UWMP, verifying adherence to the Urban Water Management Planning Act, addressing DWR Guidebook requirements, reviewing and incorporating data, attending and presenting at District Board meetings, producing draft and final plan copies, reviewing conservation programs, identifying new conservation opportunities, ensuring regulatory consistency, and coordinating community stakeholder outreach. The final 2025 UWMP must be submitted to the DWR by July 1, 2026.
