General Project Description
The Pasadena Unified School District is requesting proposals for architectural and engineering design services for the Washington Elementary School Restrooms Assessment & Restoration Project. The selected firm will provide full A/E design services across all disciplines, assess existing restroom conditions, evaluate exhaust systems, and identify locations for temporary portable restrooms. The design scope includes lighting, plumbing fixtures, flooring, wall tile, floor drains, isolation valves, electrical upgrades, fire alarm components, partitions, and ADA accessibility modifications. Services entail site analysis, program confirmation, schematic design, design development, 50% construction documents, 95% construction documents, permitting assistance, bidding/construction/contract administration support, and contract closeout. The design must comply with District design guides. The planned commencement of design services is March 1, 2026.

- Quantity: - Unit: - Work Item: 50% Construction Documents, including preparation of updated construction drawings, details, specifications, and project manual; provision of architectural services across all disciplines (interiors, structural, civil, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, security, acoustical, interior design, lighting, audio visual, data/telecommunications, graphics design); cost estimating, schedule planning, life cycle costing, value engineering, critical path; planning/design/procurement/coordination for new equipment, telecommunications, security, and low voltage systems; exterior site design (parking lots, driveways, hardscape, landscape, irrigation, ADA transitions), and coordination with Lease-Leaseback Contractor.
