General Project Description

The City of Pasadena is soliciting bids for the purchase, furnishing, and delivery of a 25 MVA (megavolt-ampere) dead front Mobile Substation for the Water and Power (PWP) department. The project includes the supply of the mobile substation unit and associated trailers (transformer and regulator), which must be street legal and meet DOT regulations. The scope involves engineering, fabrication, and delivery of the complete mobile substation, including a 25 MVA transformer, 38kV switchgear, 27kV switchgear, protection, controls, and metering equipment (SEL-487E, SEL-751, SEL-2414, SEL-2240 Axion, SEL-2730M, SEL-2407, SEL-9524), 48VDC and 120/240VAC systems, security cameras and networking (Axis M4308-PLE, Axis D8208-R), and a SCADA Patch Panel. The project also requires a 5-year warranty, delivery, site startup training and commissioning, relay training, and relay programming.
