General Project Description

The City of Pasadena's Department of Public Works, Building Systems and Fleet Management Division (BSFMD) is seeking bids from qualified firms for comprehensive preventative maintenance, repairs, emergency, and on-call services for the complete vertical transportation elevator systems at City facilities. This includes 25 elevators and 5 disabled access lifts. The contractor will furnish all necessary supplies, materials, labor, labor supervision, tools, equipment, and lubricants. Work entails monthly maintenance inspections, adjustments, replacement of worn parts, emergency callback services, and performance testing in accordance with applicable safety codes. Six units at Pasadena Central Library are included for pricing but will not receive service until 2028 due to facility renovations.
