General Project Description

The City of Pasadena is soliciting proposals from qualified firms for professional services to prepare preliminary and final design plans, specifications, and cost estimates for the North Lake Avenue Pedestrian and Safety Enhancement Project (ATP Cycle 6). This project, funded by a State Active Transportation Program grant, aims to improve traffic operations, pedestrian facilities, and overall safety and connectivity along a 0.6-mile section of North Lake Avenue between Maple Street and Mountain Street. The consultant's scope includes comprehensive design activities such as data gathering, site/field investigations (survey, utilities, geotechnical), preliminary and final design encompassing civil improvements, traffic signals, communication, lighting, signing, striping, traffic control, construction staging, preparation of all necessary contract documents (plans, specifications), construction cost estimates, schedules, community outreach support, assistance with bid/advertisement phases, detailed record keeping, and right-of-way engineering and acquisition services, including obtaining necessary permits.
