General Project Description

The City of Petaluma is seeking qualified consulting firms to develop a citywide Active Transportation Wayfinding system. The project involves developing signage templates and placement guidance for various sign types (decision, confirmation, ground markings, trailhead signs for multiple trails), establishing a citywide wayfinding plan including destination hierarchy, and producing 100% bid-ready construction plans and cost estimates for the initial buildout of the system. The consultant will help maximize the use of available grant funds for bicycle and pedestrian projects.
