General Project Description

This CDBG-funded public works project involves ADA sidewalk improvements within the City of Pico Rivera. The extensive scope includes the removal of existing sidewalks, driveway approaches, curb and gutters, and AC pavement, followed by their reconstruction with specified materials. Key components include the installation of pedestrian access ramps with detectable warning surfaces (3'x4' yellow Vitrified Polymer Composite tactile tiles), tree removal and planting of new 36-inch box trees with root barriers, and concrete water meter box installations. Traffic control, utility coordination (including Dig Alert), site maintenance, debris management, and repainting of house numbers and traffic markings are also integral parts of the project.
