General Project Description
The City of Placentia is seeking proposals from qualified Franchisees for a comprehensive program involving the procurement, construction, installation, and maintenance of street furniture, specifically bus shelters (with advertising panels, including static/digital options), bus benches (with and without advertising panels), and trash receptacles at 92 specified bus stops throughout the City. The selected Franchisee will also be responsible for managing advertising space on the shelters and benches, providing advertising sales, scheduling, installation, and reporting. The scope includes conducting an inventory and amenity location survey, designing furniture to incorporate the City's Wayfinding Design Program elements, installing concrete mounting pads, securing permits, coordinating with utilities, ensuring ADA compliance, and potentially integrating smart technologies like WiFi and digital displays. Additionally, the Franchisee will manage all routine and as-needed repair or replacement services for damaged street furniture and remove existing bus benches. The agreement will include a profit-sharing/franchise fee arrangement with the City for a term of five (5) years with five, one-year option extensions.
