General Project Description
The City of Pomona is seeking a vendor to perform comprehensive soccer field renovations at Palomares Park and Washington Park. The project includes specialized turf management activities such as fraze mowing, aeration, sand application, grading, fertilizer application, reel mowing, and the installation of Tifway 419 Hybrid Bermuda sod at goal areas. Work must comply with STMA standards and CDBG funding requirements, be bid at prevailing wages, and include safety and public access controls. Contractors must provide all labor, equipment, and materials, a detailed work methodology, and aim for completion within two weeks of the start date, allowing a total of eight weeks for the field to open by April 1, 2026. Required final surface conditions include levelness within ½ inch, no hazards, uniform turf density, and irrigation heads at grade.
