General Project Description

The Stockton Port District is seeking qualified contractors for on-call services for Roberts Island Dredge Placement Site Preparation. This involves semi-annual maintenance of the Roberts Island Dredged Material Placement Site (DMPS), used for dredged sediment from the Port of Stockton's docks and the Stockton Deep Water Ship Channel. The scope includes site inspection for access, safety, and hazardous areas, vegetation management (clearing overgrown vegetation, tree trimming, stump grinding), removal of debris, disking operations (cross-disk or deep-disk soil to aerate and break up compacted material, multiple passes), dust and erosion control (water application, covering, monitoring runoff), and comprehensive reporting/documentation. The site features 8-foot-high perimeter berms and internal berms/dikes to manage dredged slurry and sediment settling. The contract is for a three-year term with two optional one-year extensions, not to exceed five years in total.
