General Project Description

This project involves the annual rehabilitation of various channels within the City of Poway, California. The primary scope includes repairing sections of spalled or eroded concrete along the Pomerado Channel (running parallel to the eastern side of Pomerado Road from Laja Drive to Tassel Road, including areas near Nazas Drive, Amso Street, Vaughan Road, Frame Road, and Shallman Street), repairing identified sections of the Floral Channel, and completing full-length repairs along the Allbrook Channel. The work encompasses mobilization, traffic control, clearing and grubbing, concrete channel repairs (utilizing shotcrete and various reinforcements), outfall pipe repairs, tree/stump/root removals, trash rack installation/replacement, and void backfill. The project also mandates compliance with erosion control, stormwater management, and permits.

Quantity: 60 Unit: LF Work Item: Pomerado Channel Outfall Pipe Repairs, Specifications: Includes cutting back existing pipe to sound material, excavation, backfilling, re-establishing support beneath pipe where voids are present, installing new pipe section, sealing joints, and connecting to existing pipe.
