General Project Description

The project involves capping and grading at Parcel FM within the Marina Bay Project area to prevent exposure, erosion, and offsite migration of hazardous materials (lead, petroleum hydrocarbons, arsenic, copper, nickel, zinc) found in soil and groundwater, attributed to historical shipyard activity. The work generally consists of grading, installing storm drainage, and placing asphalt concrete. Key activities include hazardous materials management, stormwater pollution control, earthwork (scarification, recompaction, geotextile fabric placement), hot mix asphalt paving, aggregate base installation, storm drain pipe and structures installation, drainage system work, and fence removal. Contractor must prepare and follow a Site-Specific Health and Safety Plan (HASP) and ensure HAZWOPER trained workers.
