General Project Description

The City of Rio Vista is seeking a qualified contractor to plan, coordinate, and conduct two (2) one-day, drive-through Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Collection Events annually for the years 2026, 2027, and 2028. The selected contractor will be responsible for the complete planning, coordination, and implementation of these events, including screening, segregating, packaging, profiling, manifesting, transporting, recycling, treating, or disposing of collected HHW. Responsibilities also include providing qualified personnel for event staffing, facility management, site preparation, maintaining safety procedures, post-event cleanup, and providing comprehensive reports and regulatory documentation. The contractor must manage all HHW materials, excluding specific radioactive, infectious, explosive, or dioxin wastes, and utilize existing extended producer responsibility programs to minimize costs.
